This is a terrific expression of this versatile French grape. The 2016 Friuli Isonzo Chardonnay Jurosa is fairly structured but lightweight in the mouth, with brilliant energy and an open, zesty personality. Orchard fruit, ripe peach, toasted nut, lemon mousse and creamy vanilla all conspire to create the beautiful bouquet. I would suggest drinking this wine within the next few years; however, this sample has the fiber and balanced acidity to withstand some near-term aging. Drink date: 2019-2025. Score - 93.
